Olive Oil

Ktima Erokritos

Located in historic Choirokoitia, visitors can tour the contemporary olive mill unit, which also has an edible olive production line, to discover the process from start to finish (olives, olive oil, olive paste). Visitors get to sample the products that are also available to buy. (Premises fully accessible).

Terra Oliva Bio Olive Farm

The estate of olive groves and fruit orchards in mountainous Lefkara village is open to visitors to wander through the grounds to learn more about the history and tradition of olive cultivation and sample products, which are also available at the onsite shop.

Honey Production

Guided beekeeping and honey production tours are available at Oros Maxairas in Melini, and Ecophysis Bee and Nature Center - both part of the Rural Larnaka Honey Villages and set in stunning hillside landscape.

Visitors can learn about the tradition and the importance of bees, and also sample honey and honey based delicacies, as well as participate in other associated activities.


Winemaking

Ktima Christoudia boutique winery is nestled in the pretty hillside of Kato Drys and offers tours of its winemaking and 'soutzoukos' (grape must sweet) facilities with wine tasting. Grape harvesting experiences are available in the autumn, and other events and activities also take place during the year.

Spoon Sweets & Preserves

Ermi Traditional Sweets in quaint Agioi Vavatsinias village offers tours of the spoon sweet and preserve making facilities where over 40 different spoon sweets, as well as jams, fig pies, 'soutzoukos' (grape must sweet), and other grape-based products are produced in the traditional way.

The LTB and the 'Women's Association of Larnaka' (WARL) have created a Traditional Gastronomy Route that takes in Larnaka region's quaint, rustic villages and their gastronomic delights for a self-guided tour of the tastebuds! Discover the traditional secrets of some of the island's favourite food, and sample it fresh.

‘Cyprus Taste Tours’ is a guided journey of the senses to various authentic restaurants and coffee shops in Larnaka by foot, via the old streets. Along the way you will enjoy a number of traditional dishes and delicacies, as well as a warm Cypriot welcome.

Cooking Demonstrations

A number of cooking demonstrations and workshops are available across the region and offer an alternative and authentic experience that always ends with tasting the finished product! 

Options include private and group sessions, as well as drop-in demonstrations at some venues. From traditional cheese making and baking seasonal treats, to honey-themed dishes and joining in with the annual harvests, you can discover the true tastes of the island. Food Markets

Larnaka city centre's Municipal Market is an eclectic mix of traditional stalls and modern artisans. Located in the the historic grounds of the old market, the market has been given a new lease of life with a contemporary building. The open-air farmer's market operates on Saturday, and the indoor market is open from 7am-6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 7am-2pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
