Patticheio Municipal Theatre & Park

The Pattcheio Municipal Park is runs parallel to Larnaka Salt Lake as part of its wider environs, and is also home to the Municipal Amphitheatre which hosts outdoor events, particularly during the summer season.

The park was fully renovated in 2026 under the ‘THALIA 2021-2027’ cohesion policy programme, co-funded by the European Union to create  an upgraded leisure spot for all the family - fully accessible to pedestrians, cyclists and disabled persons.

The pedestrian paths (previously 2km) have been expanded, landscaped and added to, taking walkers through different elevations and a botanical garden. A circular bridge walkway takes in panoramic views across the park and the Salt Lake, and two new observations decks are perfect for viewing the flamingos at the lake (winter season), as well as the stunning, fiery sunsets that the area is known for.

Facilities have been enhanced or added: public conveniences, a café-restaurant, children’s playground, lighting, fencing and urban furniture, whilst the amphitheatre itself was also given a make-over.
