New Bus Routes for the Larnaka Region

A new and improved transport system is now in place in Larnaka with the operation of new bus routes.

The buses service all the tourist areas of Larnaka including the Larnaka-Dekeleia Road, the McKenzie beach area and the Larnaka promenade, as well as the residential areas and suburbs of the town.

Tickets for travel anywhere within Larnaka are available for a single trip, day pass, weekly pass and monthly pass at €1, €2, €10 and €30 respectively, making the buses a convenient and cost effective way to see the town.

Why not catch a bus to an area of Larnaka you have not seen before? With so many villages on the routes – such as Lefkara, Tochni, Ayios Theodoros and Skarinou – you will get to see a different side to the region, or you can enjoy a spot of shopping or some lunch in an area outside of the main town centre that you would not normally have discovered. Various tourist attractions are also on the buses routes such as the old aqueduct (Kamares), the Medieval Castle and the prominent Hala Sultan Tekke mosque overlooking the salt-lake.
