Horse, Donkey and Camel Riding
East meets West in Larnaka, where you can experience the Western pleasures of horse riding or travel the ancient Eastern way by camel.

Located on the road between Kiti and Zygi, on the outskirts of Mazotos, the Camel Park (tel. 00357 24991243) offers an adventurous day out for all the family. Take a safari ride through the Cypriot countryside on one of the grand camels and feed the goats, kangaroos, ponies, horses, ostriches, donkeys and the deer scattered around 'Noah's Ark.' Don't forget to take a dip in the pool and, when you're feeling hungry yourself, the restaurant serves Cypriot dishes catering for all tastes. There's also a play area for children, including a bouncy castle, an indoor area and lots more, while the park also caters for children's parties.

Or, if horse riding is more your thing, you can visit the Drapia Farm in Kalavasos (tel. 00357 99437188), the Dhekelia Saddle Club (tel. 00357 24744293) or the Horse Leisure Club in Tersefanou (tel. 00357 99673768).

Alternatively, ride the Mediterranean equivalent of the horse, the donkey, at Dipotamos Donkey farm or Oroklini Donkey Park. Both farms work to protect the donkey population of Cyprus and the strongest of the bunch enjoy taking adults and children alike for rides around the beautiful countryside.
